One of our primary reasons for setting course for the Charlottesville System on this date was to conduct a survey mission of an installation called the Virginia Discovery Museum.

There were many interesting things to discover with our littlest warrior seeming to enjoy the balls quite a bit while I personally enjoyed observing a colony of insects that seemed to operate with something of a hive mind.

They reminded me a bit of the Borg although not quite as dangerous.

Establishing communication seemed near impossible for us as although we observed them shaking their hind end at each other quite a bit, I’m afraid mine just doesn’t move fast enough these days.

Although our name was logged inside outpost “Belmont Park” a couple of weeks ago, we actually remained in the vehicle when it was located and so chose not to mark the find at the time.

For us, honor requires that we actively be a part of the hunt and find for us to actually count it. Otherwise, we have negated for us what makes the hunt so enjoyable.

Following coordinates, the hidden outpost was located with relative ease.

As an added note, we want to also state that without this one, we never would have known about the Belmont Park as well as a nice place to let our littlest warrior burn off some energy and have some fun whenever we are in this area.

The search for outpost “SVCC CCCC” marks our official return to the hunting trail as with our littlest warrior now in preschool … we have more time for such things.

As the I.K.S. Valhalla arrived at the posted coordinates, visual scans were enough to tell us where this one was hidden as we have one hidden in a similar manner elsewhere.

The ease of the find in no way spoiled the enjoyment our hunt and was an excellent one with which to mark our return to the game.

Pathfinder Log — Imperial Stardate: 2010,09,04

Romulan ships were flowing steadily along the intersecting travel routes as well as others passing by on foot so stealth was utilized in our search for outpost “Duuuuuuuukes!”

Considering we had ‘business’ that brought us into the region, it seemed a good time to seek out this one.

Discovery was made straight away with this marking a glorious ending to what until then had been a very stressful day.

Captain’s Log — Imperial Stardate: 2010,08,28

The desire to find outpost “The Glorious Cause” has long been within the beating of our warrior hearts as it is a challenge that has called to us for some time.

And this was not our first journey to this place, but I will say that we were less experienced when last we made the attempt.

What better outpost to find than one which honors warriors of the past?

Our science officer applied her training and skill to the challenge with her wisdom leading us to the outpost which most definitely still remains where clues pointed.

To the owner of this cache, we say to you that it was an honorable quest you set for others to complete … an honorable quest with a worthy goal as we made sure to salute those of the past before departing.

An added note is that we indeed logged our visit, but the log has been weathered by the elements and needs replacing … likely the cache as well.

With their littlest warrior now getting a little bit older, Mike Tripp (aka. Gen. Huntar) and his family are dusting off the GPS unit and again returning to the hunt for adventure and have created the new website to chronicle these adventures … which will include not just geocaching but life’s adventures as well.

And do not worry … their stories will continue to make their way over here … After all, they are “Ships of the Cache!”

So the following question must be asked … Can the Federation hold its own against the might of the Klingon Empire?

It occurred to us that the official report from us has yet to be filed so credit for our … discovery … has also yet to take place.

On Imperial Stardate: 2010, 07,17, we boarded our bird-of-prey … the I.K.S. Maelstrom … and went in search of “AshleyGoRound Cache.”

After all, it is just not right for Klingons to allow such a nearby outpost to go undefeated!

Unlike a previous visit by those of our expeditionary force, this time the outpost was right where it should be and quite easily found … and conquered!

Captain’s Log — Imperial Stardate: 2010,07,13

On the first day, we sought out the mysterious “Mega Smiley,” and although we found the grinning sphere with complete ease, the hidden outpost remained elusive to our imperial scanning equipment.

We searched ground zero for about 15 minutes before forced to retreat back to our fortress overlooking the beach which was secured for our stay in the region.

The next morning dawned with our bat’leths sharpened and held to the ready.

Again we stormed ground zero, this time combing our way from front to back and from side to side.

Suspected geo-trails were followed and into the brush we dug to the point that blood dropped from one warrior’s arms as a result.

No luck with finding this …. mysterious outpost … as it continued to elude those of the Empire who thought we were being most diligent in our search.

However, honor is stripped from us on this mystery as we have seen intelligence reports that others have found what we cannot.

All I can say is that the location has been logged in our ship’s memory banks as our warriors will one day return in force to complete the conquest that has as yet been denied us!

Captain’s Log — Imperial Stardate: 2010,07,12

Our Klingon warrior spirits drove us forth this evening to seek out something new that was worth not only finding but honoring.

And so it is that the Norwegian Lady is worthy of such efforts.

One who stands eternal watch our of respect and honor for previous souls lost has proven themselves to us and thus are worthy of our songs and praise.

So it was that we raised our bat’leths in salute of the noble lady depicted in stone.

Likewise, we took time to honor the warriors depicted close to this noble lady’s location.

Captain’s Log — Imperial Stardate: 2010,07,11

We are KLINGONS!!! …. and we are on a trip of conquest!!!

Traveling aboard our Sienna-class battle cruiser, we pulled out of warp at the location to rest our engines and stretch the legs — having a feeling that there was an outpost to be conquered at this location.

A quick connection with the imperial communications grid was enough for us to locate intelligence on outpost “History In Progress.”

Sensors stolen from the Federation helped us triangulate the position using supplied coordinates which led to a quick victory before departing again in our journey towards the Virginia Beach System in the Virginia Quadrant.
