After a long period of being quiet and remaining silent, I am pleased to say that I am planning my return to the sport of geocaching with regular updates planned for this website! It will begin with planned missions to checkout caches we have placed to make sure they see still there and well maintained. [...]

A seems fitting that a month after we officially launched this website that we celebrate by giving it a slightly improved look. The layout is pretty much the same as before, but we made the header better and improved the color scheme a bit.

At our first powercaching session in Darmstadt (read about it here) we learned that we can’t keep everything in mind we wanted to note in the logs. Writing the logs afterwards took nearly as long as the session itself. Even when I began to write notes on my paper notebook, it still didn’t help other [...]

Comprised of a small team of geocachers, “Ships of the Cache” represents a collection of starships that are roaming about the world, exploring the Geocaching universe one cache at a time in the form of trackable items. Playing off the term “Ships of the Line,” it seemed like a fun way to promote the sport [...]

We have officially launched our forums. Look to the navigation bar at the top of the page or visit “The Lodge @ Geo-valley.com” at http://geo-valley.com/thelodge/. Look for us to firm up the catagories and forum discussion groups as the weeks pass by, and we work out the kinks.

Let me take a moment and welcome you to the new “Geo-Valley Cachers” at Geo-Valley.com! Founded by Mike Tripp, aka. MOON’S EYE, this website will develop into a community website that will feature stories, journal entries, photos and other regular features by volunteer members, bringing to light their personal adventures and experiences with Geocaching, Waymarking [...]
