Wanting some time for just ourselves, Lee and I left Abi at home with her sister while we ourselves ventured to the arboretum at James Madison University in Harrisonburg.
It is a beautiful location with with wonderful plant and animal life.
We saw all sorts of birds as well as squirrels up under one of the feeders — not to mention all the turtles living in the pond.

The fried chicken Lee fixed using her mother’s secret recipe was outstanding, but the company was even better.
After a leisurely picnic, we ventured along one of the many paths to find “Leapyear Magnet Trade” hidden in the woods.
I found the cache while Lee remained on the trail, having to refer to hint via my iPod Touch before finding the actual hiding place.
Sadly, the concept of it being a trading post for refrigerator magnets might be a good one, but the cache is in serious need of maintenance.
