USS SAM HOUSTON: Visiting Our Namesake
Captain’s Log — Stardate: 20090506
Both captain and some of the crew from the U.S.S. Pathfinder were temporarily transferred over to the U.S.S. Sam Houston while our own ship is in dry-dock for repairs.
It was an honor to visit the location that marks the birthplace of the man for whom our Miranda-class frigate was named.
It should also be noted that the United States Navy once had a nuclear submarine that was also named after the legendary statesman.

Capt. Malcolm Hunter
Acting Commanding Officer
U.S.S. Sam Houston
Pathfinder Explorer Squadron
——
I wrote interactive fiction set in the Star Trek universe for several years with friends using a ship named the U.S.S. Sam Houston.
