Finally

WE HAVE FOUND IT! YES! WE DID!

Yesterday, at the eighth time we visited “An der hoh’ Wies’”.

We have been there in rain, in shine, alone and with lots of muggles. We searched everywhere, looked at each place and were close to bring heavy gear to retrieve the cache. But luckily we made it.

I think we were the ones taking the most times finding it. It is a difficulty 3 cache, but for us they should have made it a 5.

However, we finally found it. You can’t imagine how great the feeling is.

hzoi: get it. You won’t take nearly as much time as we did.

we did have a great camping and caching weekend this past weekend, we were out west of staunton near reddish knob and ramsey draft wilderness. there’s a great little campsite at GC1G8MT, “the pulpit,” the view from heiliger kanzel is outstanding.

  4. You went from being in Kevin’s backyard to exploring in my backyard!!! … I will keep an eye for you at some of my own hides! :)

  5. Please do! We only just touched on the Staunton area, but we’ll be back over there before too long. We’ll let you know when.

We’re tentatively planning an event for Saturday, October 24, in Charlottesville. Right now we’re looking at the Wild Wing Cafe from noon to 2, but that’s subject to change. Hope you can make it!

Speaking of events, there’s a CITO event we’re attending this Saturday up in Bentonville, GC1XD04. Any chance the USS Pathfinder can send an away team?

  6. The 10/24/2009 Charlottesville event is published at GC1YPAA. Hope to see you there. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=39ef7c98-989e-446e-854e-bb4bb662ddae
