Aborted Hunt Finds Winged Hunters

Fellow Hunters

Earlier today while heading from one cache location to another, I tried accessing the details for the “Willow Spout” cache I was headed towards via my iPod Touch.

The problem was that every single time I tried to access the saved data for that one cache, the Geocaching program would collapse.

If it had been a traditional cache, I might could have made do and taken my chances, continuing the search using only the coordinates stored in the GPS device.

My problem centered around the fact this one was a multi-cache and required the clues / code if I were to stand any chance of finding the final cache location.

Figuring the hunt for Willow Spout a loss for the day, I pulled to the side of the road and made ready to turn around.

That is when I saw two hawks circling round and round in flight patterns that likely were a form of courtship.

For me, the encounter was as enjoyable as finding a cache or waymark — one I would have missed if my iPod had not hiccuped.
